Equal Treatment on surveillance in the uk

In November 2016 one of the most extreme surveillance laws in modern history was passed through British parliament and this was the investigatory powers act 2016. Many people around the world were shocked by this but the most astonishing thing about the bill is that the people who wanted these extreme laws to be placed on citizens were themselves exempt from the same laws, so I propose an extra law be brought out which would make this system a lot fairer and that is we the people should have the legal right to view our employees (MPs) internet searches through the freedom of information act and I cannot see this being a problem because after all if they have nothing to hide they have nothing to worry about.
